Popping suddenly into existence in a universesque blaze of unfathomable energy back in 2003, Ziko are a 4 piece act from Auckland, New Zealand, exploring the ground between alt rock and electronica.
Simon Turner (vox and gats)
As a founding member of Ziko, Simon has high hopes for the band. His life's ambition is to be invited to appear as a guest voice on The Simpsons. "I'd like nothing better than to be gunned down by Chief Wiggum as I flee the scene of the great Springfield train robbery".
Nick Boyle (keys, zoops and dials)
Nick, or Dr Nick (please note: not a real doctor) first showed up at Chico's garage with a Debbie Gibson t-shirt and guitar synth in 2003, squealing "Ya, I gonna rock the honey babies." After finally ditching the canvas jumpsuit, the best compromise has been to push him in the corner and leave him doin' his thing (don't ever point out to him he's not plugged in and we'll all be sweet).
Richie Setford (bass and vox)
Also known as Mr President around certain parts of Grey Lynn, Richie decides when it's time to "Wake Up Fool!" Remember people that bass doesn't affect your hearing, it's the parasitic mites that crawl around in your ear using your Tympanic Membrane like a flippen massage parlour. CHRIST! can anyone else hear that chirping...
Kris Baudry (skins)
Inexplicably refered to as "Captain B", Kris enjoys a good old blat on the drums. Or a good Blat anywhere for that matter, although eating at the drumkit can have devastating effects. Other foods of note include his World Famous Breakfast Omelette and Continental Roasted Chicken stuffed with garlic, capsicum, and 12 known herbs and spices with braised roasted Kumara, heaps of gravy, and a side of mixed veg. Yummy.
